Mister Miracle
DC Comics // April 1971 - September 1978
Issue count: 25
From the endlessly imaginative mind of Jack Kirby sprang Mister Miracle in 1971. DC's run of Kirby's classic "Fourth World" books are enduring and appealing to collectors! See what yours may be worth!
When Jack Kirby moved back to DC in the early 70's, he was essentially given autonomy over both the writing and the art of his contributions. He created the ambitious, and sometimes confusing, universe called "The Fourth World." This saga was spread over many titles, but his MISTER MIRACLE is perhaps the most remembered and revered!
Innovative story lines and a good sense of humor made MM a hit, and it was the longest running of the Fourth World titles (Kirby helmed the first 18 issues, ending in 1974).
Mister Miracle has since been resurrected too many times to list, a testament to Jack Kirby's ability to create strong, impressionable, characters.
There was a brief revival of the title in 1977 which did not last, but those first 18 issues have picked up steam on the collectors marketplace!
