High grade copies of this book (VF/NM 9.0) will run minimum $50,000 and up. If a 9.8 copy of this book was discovered and offered for sale it would bring somewhere between $250,000 to $300,000. This is a rock solid Silver Age key that is worth holding in any condition. The highest ever recorded sale of Fantastic Four (1961) #5 was a NM- 9.2 was sold for $180,000 in September 2022. To get a FN 6.0 today you would pay around $16,500. That's over 11x the $1,500 it would have taken in 2009. Story Synopsis
Doctor Doom takes the Invincible Girl as a hostage to get the obedience of the team. Later on, he calls upon the team in his castle stronghold where he send the Human Torch, The Thing, and Mr. Fantastic back in time to fetch the pirate Blackbeard's treasure. Where the Thing takes on the mentle of the Blackbeard and remains in the past as a pirate. Upon the return of the team Fantastic Four, Doctor Doom tries to kill them where the Invincible Girl tries to save his team mates.
