What's Fantastic Four #2 worth in 2025?
With one CGC NM/MT 9.8 copy known to exist that sold for $65,000 in 2013 we can guess what the value might be if the same copy sold today. It certainly might enjoy a healthy increase but a new successful film franchise could push prices to amazing new heights. These lower number issues are poised for a significant return on the investment. A FN 6.0 in 2009 brought around $1,000 and today that same issue might go for $3,500. While that is a healthy return it doesn't match the rise by percentage of some other books that have recent films. The lower grades are extremely affordable with GD 2.0 copies that went for $260 in 2009 bringing almost double today at $1499. You always want to purchase the highest grade you can afford but even lower grade copies of these issues are a solid buy.
Why is this comic book valuable?
Fantastic Four #2 is not just any second issue but THE second issue of the Stan Lee and Jack Kirby era of collaboration. It also is the second appearance of the FF4 as well as containing the first mention of the "Daily Bugle", made famous for being Peter Parker's workplace. If that isn't enough it also contains the first appearance of the Skrulls, an alien race that would battle early and often in the Marvel Universe. Only 20 copies exist over VF/NM 9.0 according to CGC Census data.

Story Synopsis
Four Skrulls from the Outspace change the appearance as pose as the Fantastic Four and act as criminals. While the real Fantastic Four investigate about the origin of the Skrulls. The Part II of this issue named as the "Prisoners of the Skrulls". The real team gets imprisioned by the government for their acts against crime. The teams plans their escape from the vault and decide to take on a fight with the Skrulls.
