Published in December 1948, Batman #50 is the fiftieth issue of the Batman (Volume 1) series. “Lights - Camera - Crime,” was fully written by Bill Finger. The executive director was Whitney Ellsworth.

Interesting Facts

Following the previous issue, Batman #50 was inked by Charles Paris. Its cover was also designed by Paris alongside Bob Krane. The yellow cover shows the villain Two Face haunting Batman and Robin. 

Story Synopsis


Vicki Vale is assigned by The Picture Magazine to take pictures from the best law enforcers. Vicki manages to take pictures of important groups such as the F.B.I., the Coast Guard and the State Troopers. Her final team is the Dynamic Duo, Batman and Robin. After explaining her situation, Batman allows her to come with them on their next crime debunking adventure, but unfortunately they become involved in a criminal affair, when a reformed criminal tells Batman the location of a hidden loot right before he dies.
