Golden Age Anthology Comic with adventure, super hero, war, sport, and humor stories
Target Comics was a Golden Age anthology comic featuring stories of adventure, westerns, and super heroes. While Novelty Press debuted the title in February 1940 the actual hero known as The Target, created by Dick Briefer under he pseudonym Dick Hamilton, did not appear until issue #10 in November 1940. A notable legend did inks, backgrounds, and letters in the early issues, Jerry Robinson the co creator of Robin and The Joker. Over the years the book included sports, war, humor, and romance stories.
